The Kreative Legends Story
Founded in October 2018 by Kayla Shuler, the journey began after she was inspired by her experience working under the director of her home studio, Brenda Lee Dance Studio. Motivated to create a dance program for youth aged 3 to 18, Kayla initially rented a studio space on Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia, conducting weekly classes. On the first day of registration, 11 eager students signed up to learn the art of dance. She began by teaching various dance styles each week; however, as interest grew, she became concerned about her ability to provide quality training to all the new students. This surge in inquiries fueled her determination to secure a dedicated space for Kreative Legends. By January 2019, she successfully found, renovated, and opened a studio on the second floor of a building in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. Following the grand opening, enrollment at Kreative Legends increased from 11 to 34 students, marking the official beginning of a place where legends are born. Today, our performing arts studio trains nearly 100 students annually, nurturing young boys and girls who have uncovered their talents, passions, and artistic abilities. Our students, affectionately referred to as "Legends," harbor ambitious dreams. Our mission encompasses three key objectives: to deliver high-quality and professional training in dance and modeling; to foster a safe environment for children to express themselves; and to dedicate ourselves to mentoring our students. We aim to equip them for a successful and meaningful future, regardless of whether they choose to pursue a career in the arts. Kreative Legends Youth Performing Arts Studio is wholeheartedly dedicated to offering professional, high-quality dance and modeling training to children aged 3 to 18. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." At Kreative Legends, we are committed to breaking down the barriers that have historically hindered access to the arts. We acknowledge the creative, physical, and emotional advantages associated with our art form and strive to make it accessible to everyone.
